Travel Information

By air
Orlando International Airport (MCO) has scheduled non-stop service to more major destinations in the United States than any other airport in Florida. MCO offers the largest airport area with the second lowest fares of the top 30 airports in the United States.

By road
There are several major highways that provide East connections and access from all ports of Florida. Interstate 4 runs from Daytona Beach on the East Coast to St. Petersburg on the West Coast. Interstate 10 enters the state in the panhandle and extends to Jacksonville in the Northeast. Interstate 75 enters Florida just South of Valdosta, Georgia and runs south to Miami and the Florida Turnpike connects I-75 South to Ocala, extending southeast through Orlando and continuing South to Miami.

By rail
Amtrak serves Orlando with four daily trains originating in New York and Miami, with stops in Downtown Orlando, Winter Park, Sanford and Kissimmee. There’s also tri-weekly train service from the West Coast, originating in Los Angeles.

Car rental

Mears Transportation Group

Shuttle Service
Mears Transportation Co. offers shuttle service to/from The Peabody Orlando. The round-trip fare is $30 per person; one-way is $19 per person. You can make shuttle reservations by visiting the Mears website. Attendees can print out the coupon and get $3.00 off the regular roundtrip rate of $30.00 when using the airport shuttle. Instructions and phone number for questions are listed on the coupon to make it user friendly.

I-Ride Trolley
This air-conditioned trolley runs the length of International Drive and Universal Blvd. Runs every 20-minutes on those routes to area restaurants and shops. Fare: Single fare $1.25 on/off one time; Senior discount (65 yrs +) $.25 per ride; kids under 12 free with paying adult; Unlimited ride fare one day $4.00 all day on/off; 3 day fare $6.00.

Crossing U.S. borders

U.S. citizens - air travel
All U.S. citizens including children must present a passport or other approved travel document when entering the United States by air. U.S. citizens can present a passport, NEXUS card at airports with NEXUS kiosks, U.S. military ID with travel orders, or a U.S. Merchant Mariner Document when on official business.

U.S. citizens - land/sea travel
U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry are required to have documents that comply with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), most commonly a U.S. passport, a passport card, a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST, or an enhanced driver's license. Citizens of other countries - air travel
All international visitors regardless of country of origin must present a passport or secure document when entering the United States by air.

Citizens of other countries - land/sea travel
All international visitors will need to present a single document that complies with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI). See www.getyouhome.gov for more information.
