The Richmond Chapter of IIE represents
industrial engineers and the Industrial Engineering profession in central Virginia. We
see ourselves as the catalyst for promoting ongoing education for practicing industrial
engineers. This includes increasing the
existing knowledge base and attracting younger generations to the exciting field of
Industrial Engineering. Our mission is to provide a local professional society engaged in the advancement and promotion of Industrial Engineering knowledge. This includes, but is not limited to: q Conducting regular meetings and plant tours q Keeping abreast of and sharing the latest advances in industrial engineering q Promoting the industrial engineering profession with in the community by example and speaking engagements. q To provide financial support to Industrial Engineering Departments within the Region We are also active members and supporters of the Richmond Joint Engineers Council.
