Publications
Industrial Management is the official publication of IIE's Society for Engineering and Management Systems. It serves those who are in management or expect to be there soon.
The SEMS Management Award recognizes an IIE member who is distinguished in the practice of management and industrial engineering.
Volunteers are the heart of IIE and its technical divisions.
Volunteer Opportunities
Several important value-added SEMS initiatives are underway and we need your time and expertise as a volunteer to make things happen.
- Member volunteers are needed as committee members to assist with developing and coordinating SEMS webcasts.
- Another initiative is to promote the certification of engineering management (CEM), which is currently administered by IIE and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. SEMS members are needed to form a subcommittee to oversee the CEM activities.
- Industrial Management is focused on the industry practitioner, therefore, we need member volunteers from industry to support the editor with story ideas and author leads.
- SEMS members are needed to assist with the planning, coordination, and hosting of the Enterprise Management Forum, held in conjunction with the IIE Annual Conference and Expo.
Please contact Ryan Underdown if you are interested in one of these initiatives.
The bylaws outline both the objectives and the operation of the society.
