Classroom training

Most IIE public seminars are held in the metro Atlanta area, at IIE headquarters in Norcross, Ga. Some IIE seminars are available in other locations. The site for each course is listed on the schedule page for the course.

Hotel Information

The seminar hotel for the IIE Training Center is the Residence Inn Atlanta Norcross / Peachtree Corners Hotel, 5500 Triangle Drive, Norcross, GA 30092. Phone: (770) 447-1714. The hotel is only a few minutes from IIE headquarters. A hotel shuttle to IIE is available by request. To receive the IIE corporate rate of $89 for a one-bedroom suite, you must call the hotel and ask for the IIE rate. This discounted rate is on a space-available basis and will not be given for reservations made online.

For transportation to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, contact AAA Atlanta Express at (800) 354-7874. The fare is $35 each way. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Taxi fare from the airport to Norcross is approximately $60.

Online training

IIE offers a number of online courses, some of which have a set start and finish date and some of which do not. Course delivery may be:

  • Live, instructor-led, via computer and phone, with interaction among course participants and the instructor
  • Self-paced with scheduled chat sessions with the instructor
  • Fully self-paced with a set date for completion

Corporate Training

These courses and many others can be brought to your company location through IIE's in-house training program. Courses can be provided as described, or they can be customized to fit your company's specific needs. CEUs

As an IACET Authorized Provider, IIE offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under IACET guidelines.

Registration

You may register for IIE seminars in any of the following ways:

Tax Credits and Deductions

Receive a tax credit for employee training. For qualification information, call (866) 808-9729. Treasury regulation 1.162.5 permits an income tax deduction for educational expenses (registration fees and cost of travel, meals, and lodging) undertaken to maintain or improve skills required in one's employment or other trade or business, or meet express requirements of an employer or law imposed as a condition of retention of employment, job status or rate of compensation.

Team Discounts

To encourage team participation, IIE offers a discount of $50 off each registration for two to four people, and $100 off each registration of five or more. Registrations must be received at the same time, and team members must be from the same company location. No other discounts or coupons apply with the team discount. To receive the discount, contact customer service at cs@iienet.org or 1-800-494-0460.

Certificates

All certificates issued by IIE expires after three years. There is not any cost to renew a certificate. You simply need to contact IIE headquarters and confirm your current contact information and we will send you another one. We do this in order to keep your information current in our database. We often get reference checks and always contact the individual before responding to make sure the request is legitimate.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund, less a $50 processing fee, is available if IIE is notified in writing 30 days prior to the seminar start date. Registrations cancelled or rescheduled after this date are subject to the following charges: 

• Cancellation/rescheduling 21 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 50% penalty
• Cancellation/rescheduling 14 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 75% penalty
• Cancellation/rescheduling 7 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 100% penalty 

Substitutions from the same company only, may be made at any time and must be submitted in writing. IIE reserves the right to cancel seminars three weeks prior to the start date due to insufficient registration. Registrants will be notified promptly if a seminar is cancelled. It is recommended that participants not purchase airline tickets until they are certain the seminar will NOT be cancelled due to low enrollment.
