Flywheels: Riding vs. driving
When I first read Jim Collins’ book Good to Great, I was struck by the flywheel concept. This analogy helps me explain the positive and negative momentum associated with our living, breathing organizational cultures. At the time, I had just completed leading a significant culture change, and the flywheel concept helped me visualize what we had gone through.
