Throughout history, enterprises have paid attention to maximizing the benefits of their forward supply chain as opposed to worrying about things beyond their products’ life spans. But as technology advances exponentially, the obsolescence rate of products has been increasing, calling into question the traditional cradle-to-grave supply chains. After all, the question as to what users ultimately do with their end-of-life products has environmental and economic implications.
