Building lessons

This summer I tried my hand at construction. After all, I was an engineer, I had watched things being built on television, and, most importantly, I had drawings and instructions. The same twisted logic had me mix one and a half tons of concrete for the pier posts and dig the holes – as if I needed additional evidence that I was older than 50.
