There is no getting around the fact that globalization and technology have transformed the workplace, with the proliferation of virtual teams a key result. What has not changed is that the team, on-site or virtual, is expected to deliver results that satisfy stakeholders. Your stakeholders can range from colleagues who require something from you to move their process along to the ultimate customer who determines the success of the business. As a manager or member of a virtual team, you know that certain challenges are unique to the virtual environment and that managing the process of getting deliverables out the door successfully is an art as well as a science.
