The right teammate
I recently surveyed a group of healthcare leaders about what they value most from their organization’s performance improvement resources. It struck me that instead of differentiating between the technical skills of management engineers, analysts or clinical quality experts, they repeatedly cited the term “team player.” While easily understood on the surface, teams operate at fundamentally different levels. Some rely on individual stars while others create an interdependence to drive success.
