Based on SEMS mission to research, develop and promote engineering and management systems, SEMS student initiatives are designed to support all IIE-SEMS student members in different areas. In order to provide more effective supports for students, two of our five key student initiatives will be highlighted at the conference.
The SEMS Student Paper Competition Presentations will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 20 in Tropical B. The session chairs are Dr. Elizabeth Cudney (Missouri S&T) and Dr. Janaina Costa (MIT). The three student presenters are:
The SEMS Student Practice and Application Expert Panel, "The Successful Road Map for Engineering and Management Systems Students: For Students, By Students and Experts," will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 (Room TBD). The session will provide advice and share the best practices in engineering management, particularly for students that are entering the job market in the near future. The panel leaders are Arsalan Safari (University of Waterloo) and Dr. Wiljeana Glover (MIT).
