M. M. Ayoub Award Criteria
The purpose of the M. M. Ayoub Award is to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Ergonomics. The award is the foremost recognition for those involved in this field of Industrial Engineering. As would be expected, only those with exceptional records are recipients of this award.
Eligibility for M. M. Ayoub Award:
Must be a member of the Society for Work Science (formerly the Ergonomics and Work Measurement Division, which was formerly the Ergonomics Division) of IIE. Preferably the candidate has held an office either on the local chapter level, division or society level, or Institute level. A current society officer or a member of the selection committee is not eligible for the award in the given year.
Strength in one or more of the following areas is desirable.
A. Recognition of Service to the Society and/or IIE:
1. Office at Institute level (includes Director of Society/Division)
2. Office at Society/Division level
3. Significant contribution
4. Length of service (membership in Society/Division)
B. Advancement of the Ergonomics Discipline
1. Proper application of principles
2. Scope and importance of applications
3. Presentation, dissemination of the application
C. Original Contribution to the Ergonomics Discipline
1. Publication of articles, monographs, books, etc.
2. Research
