Student Video Contest

IIE student members are invited to create a video presentation that will excite high school students about the industrial engineering profession. The purpose of the contest is to promote the industrial engineering profession to high school students and teachers. It is sponsored by IIE's Industry Advisory Board.

Eligibility

  • Open to IIE student members.
  • Members may form teams to create a video.
  • Schools may enter more than one video for consideration.

Video specifications
Length: 10 minutes maximum; 3 minutes minimum
Size: 75MB maximum
File format: FLV or WMV 
Videos will be uploaded to a special YouTube IIE group.

Deadline
Jan. 14

Prize
$1,000 for the winning video, courtesy of IIE and its Industry Advisory Board.

Conditions
All entries will be reviewed by a teen panel who match the target market. The panel will recommend up to five finalists for review by the judges. Those entries will be judged by a panel from IIE and the Industry Advisory Board, with the winner notified by Feb. 15, 2008.  All rights for the winning entry will be owned by IIE.

To enter, send school name and address, names of all video participants and contributors, and a contact phone number of the team leader to Elaine Fuerst.
