Industrial Engineer

CableONE, Inc. a division of the Washington Post Company is in search of an experienced, self motivated, professional to fill a highly visible position at the Corporate Office in Phoenix, AZ.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Apply facets of industrial engineering and business process re-engineering to operations and processes throughout CableONE, Inc. by analyzing complex problems, formulating abstract models, identifying optimal solutions, and integrating changes into operations.

-Focus on the efficiency of both the field and office work force to improve customer service, operations, and reduce cost.

-Provide detailed analysis of current operations through data mining of existing information and formulate data collections schemes as necessary to support process improvements.

-Use various optimization, simulation and forecasting techniques to discover and justify changes that will improve customer service and/or reduce cost.

-Work through front line operations to implement operational efficiencies and changes.

-Provide direction to senior management for strategic process and systems improvement.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.

-3 to 5 years Industrial engineering/operations research experience in the manufacturing or service industries.

-Substantial PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Visio, and ARENA or other business process simulation tools.

-Knowledge of Six Sigma problem solving (DMAIC) & change management implementation preferred.

-Interpersonal skills that enable you to work successfully in teams with all types of associates in the organization and outside contacts.

-Willingness to travel as necessary.

Warehouse Loader - Manual labor position which entails building loads for transport using an electric pallet jack.  This position is very physical and requires lifting 20-45 lbs. cases for a 10-12 hour work day. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping product while you move.  

 

Machine Mechanic - Skilled position responsible for installing/repairing production equipment.  Inspects equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and performs preventative maintenance.  Must possess strong background in electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic and mechanical work.  Must own a set of hand tools.  

 

Machine Operator - Operates manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line and/or fills caps, labels, seals or packages product.  Remove damaged product and/or supplies as needed.  Maintains required product inspection process.  Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure that production equipment runs efficiently.
