IIE Portland chapter	We are a small team of volunteers dedicated to revitalizing the local chapter of IIE. Our team hopes to start a range of services from mentoring industrial engineering students as they make the transition from school to industry, to recognizing outstanding local IE university students through awards. Additionally we plan to start facilitating factory tours for interested professionals, as well as encouraging IE’s to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and later pursue their Professional Engineering License. As volunteers, we have a variety of motives including a desire to spread “Lean Thinking”, increase IE networking in Portland/Vancouver, and forming study groups to successfully pass the PE exam. We encourage you to join us in our future chapter activities or even as a fellow volunteer.
