Board Meeting Minutes

The monthly Board of Directors meeting was held at Bellevue Regional Library, Room 4, on May 7, 1997. The meeting was called to order at 6:35pm.

NEW BUSINESS: Bill welcomed visitor, Mike Ondeck. The June event will be a tour of Emery Air Freight, organized by Jay Bakst. Bill distributed copies of a list of chapter members whose membership had expired or would soon expire. Kristian will contact those on the expired list to encourage them to renew their membership. Dave reported that the chapter taxes were complete and would be forwarded to IIE National. Bill reported that Woodrow Leake, Executive Director of IIE had been asked by the IIE Board of Trustees to resign. Bill initiated discussion regarding newsletter content and summer schedule. It was decided that there will not be a July Newsletter.

OLD BUSINESS: The membership directory is still in progress, waiting for a "President's Message". The May event will be a tour of the Integrated Learning Factory (Mechanical Engineering Building). A brief business meeting will follow to formally swear in the new officers. Bill reported that the website is up and despite some minor glitches, he has received a lot of positive feedback.

VOTES: No votes were taken.

Meeting adjourned at 7:35 pm. Next Board Meeting: Wednesday, June 4 at 6:30 pm (Bellevue Regional Library, Room 6).
