NEW BUSINESS: Puget Sound Chapter website will be up on Sunday, April 6 at www.iiepsc.org. There will be no April event. New officers will be formally sworn in at the May event, which will be held on May 22 at the University of Washington and will include a tour of the Integrated Learning Factory (Mechanical Engineering Building). Steve presided over the Transfer of responsibility and Authority/Installation of Officers. The 1997-98 chapter board of directors is as follows:

At this point, Bill passed the meeting to Kristian. Bill also noted that as Past President, he intends to concentrate his efforts on filling the board positions, career services and website maintenance. Kristian commenced discussion on improving participation in chapter events and increasing membership. Bill will set up the September program by the June board meeting and proposed that the board use the summer to focus on program planning for the 1997-98 program year.

OLD BUSINESS: Membership directory is still in progress. The board approved initial set up costs for website (see also vote below).

VOTE: Steve Snelling made a motion that the board approve approximately $200 for website set up costs and monthly charges of approximately $20, as billed by the access provider. Kristian Luttrell seconded the motion . The vote was unanimous in favor of supporting the chapter website.
