Congratulations on being chosen as a speaker for the IIE Annual Conference and Expo 2013 - Applied Solutions sessions!
By being chosen, you have a unique opportunity to share experiences from your workplace, which can benefit your peers. It is the mission of the Applied Solutions Program Committee to provide our participants the highest quality presentations, information sharing and networking opportunities.
The industry Applied Solutions are proven solutions from some of the world's leaders in applying industrial and systems engineering principles.
Below is information that you will find helpful as you make preparations for the conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico!
Materials Due
IIE asks that you submit your PowerPoint™ presentation and Permission-to-publish form by April 5. PowerPoint presentations are required. You do have the option to submit a paper, if you so choose.
Please use the attached Speaker Title Slide.
To upload your PowerPoint presentation, please go to the Abstract Site. Use your username and password to log in to the abstract system, then click on the “Submit Papers” button and follow the prompts.
Conference Registration
Speakers are not registered automatically; you can go to the registration page on the conference website to register – www.iienet.org/annual. When registering, please select "Speaker" and use Speaker Code "AnnSpkr2013" and your abstract number to qualify for the speaker rate.
Hotel Registration
Hotel reservations are the responsibility of each individual. Hotel reservations at The Caribe Hilton Hotel can be made by going to the Hotel/Travel page on the conference website. A limited number of rooms are available at the conference rate of $189 for a single or double, plus applicable state and local taxes (currently 9 percent). Additional charges include a 14 percent resort fee. There will be a separate fee of $5.25 per person (roundtrip), plus applicable taxes currently at 6 percent state tax and 1 percent municipal tax for bellman services and a fee of $0.50 per person, per day plus applicable taxes currently at 6 percent state tax and 1 percent municipal tax for maid gratuity. A $45.00 per additional person per room per night applies. The room block expires Sunday, April 27, 2013, or when the room block is full.
IIE will provide complimentary Internet access in the sleeping rooms.
Please note that conference speakers are not paid or reimbursed for travel expenses.
AV Requirements*
A data projector and screen will be provided in each room.
All educational sessions and conference activities will take place in The Caribe Hilton Hotel.
*You must supply your own laptop for your presentation.
