Applied Solutions Speaker Information

Congratulations on being chosen as a speaker for the IIE Annual Conference and Expo 2014 – Applied Solutions Sessions!

By being chosen, you have a unique opportunity to share experiences from your workplace, which can benefit your peers. It is the mission of the Applied Solutions Program Committee to provide our participants the highest quality presentations, information sharing and networking opportunities.

The industry Applied Solutions sessions are proven solutions from some of the world's leaders in applying industrial and systems engineering principles.

Below is information that you will find helpful as you make preparations for the conference in Montreal!

Materials Due

IIE asks that you submit your PowerPoint presentation and Permission-to-publish form by April 4.

PowerPoint presentations are required. You do have the option to submit a paper, if you so choose.

Please use the attached Speaker Title Slide.

To upload your PowerPoint presentation, please go to the Abstract Site. Use your username and password to log in to the abstract system, then click on the "Submit Papers" button and follow the prompts.

Conference Registration

Registration is mandatory for all speakers and this is not done automatically; you can go to the registration page at the link above to register.  When registering, please select "Speaker" and use Speaker Code - "2014AnnSpkr" and your abstract number to qualify for the speaker rate. Please use only the number – do not use the letter A.  Failure to be registered by April 4th can have you removed from the program. 

Hotel Registration

Hotel reservations are the responsibility of each individual. Please visit the conference Hotel & Travel page to make your hotel reservations.

Please note that conference speakers are not paid or reimbursed for travel expenses.

AV Requirements*

Provided will be a VGA data projector and screen in each room.

*You must supply your own laptop for your presentation. If your laptop does not have a VGA port, you will need to advise Bill Gibbs by May 1.

All educational sessions and conference activities will take place in The Palais des Congres Montreal.
