ISERC Speaker and Poster Presenter Information

The Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Conference (ISERC) is the new name for the Industrial Engineering Research Conference (IERC). The ISERC is a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the industrial and systems engineering research community.

Below is information that you will find helpful as you make preparations for the conference in Nashville!

Please note: One can be a presenting author for up to two abstracts (including invited and contributed). There is no limit to the number of papers for which one can be a co-author. The presenting author is the one who will register for the conference and present the work. (Note that the presenting author is not necessarily the first author). Those abstracts/papers which do not have a presenting author registered for the conference by March 22, 2014 will be automatically removed from the program and proceedings.

Full paper template: Just as last year, papers will be double-blind reviewed by two reviewers. To this end, please do not include any author information in your initial paper submission. Please follow the guidelines below and use the paper template when preparing your paper submission.

Author Reminders

For Abstract Submission: 

  1. Please ensure that each author's name is entered in the X-CD system as it should appear in the ISERC final program and proceedings. Capitalize the first letter of the first and last names; do not use all capital letters or all lower case letter
  2. Institution or organizational affiliation should be included for each author.
  3. Please ensure that the email address is one that is regularly checked – all communication from ISERC Program Chairs and Track Chairs will come to this email address.
  4. Abstract should be between 100 and 200 words (in the initial abstract submission and in the paper, if one is submitted).

For Paper Submission: 

  1. Prepare the paper following all ISERC 2015 formatting requirements – refer to the attached template. Papers that deviate from the formatting requirements will be returned without review. For Latex info, please click here
  2. Do not include any author information in the initial paper submission. All submitted papers are reviewed using a double-blind process. Manuscripts prepared in a way that compromises the double-blind review process will be returned to authors.
  3. Do not include any tracked changes in the final version submitted.
  4. If title or abstract were revised in the final paper submission compared to the original abstract submission, please modify the abstract information in the X-CD system as needed.
  5. Submit only .docx or .doc files for papers.
  6. Final papers will be converted to a .pdf file.
  7. Permission-to-Publish form - Due March 22 

Conference Registration

Speakers are not registered automatically. Please go to the registration page on the conference website to register. When registering, please select "Speaker," then use Speaker Code "AnnSpkr2015" and your abstract number (please use the number only - do not include letter I) to qualify for the speaker rate. The speaker rate is $799.

Student Registration
IIE student members will be able to register online using their member IDs.

As a non-member, fax in registration form accompanied by documentation showing full-time student status. A copy of your student ID will not be accepted. Fax: (770) 441-3295

Hotel Registration

Hotel reservations are the responsibility of each individual. Hotel reservations can be made by going to the Hotel & Travel page on the conference website.

Please note that conference speakers are not paid or reimbursed for travel expenses. 

AV Requirements*

  • A data projector and screen will be provided in each room.
  • All educational sessions and conference activities will take place in The Palais des Congres Montreal.
  • Please must use the attached Speaker Title Slide for your presentation.
